Learn about our digital ecosystem for the technological transformation of diabetes education

SaaS Platform

AMAT SaaS

Main web application that acts as a portal for the educator, allowing them to manage their patients' education, create or customize courses and workshops for the delivery of structured education programs, as well as prescribe educational resources from the AMIC Health digital ecosystem, or other external ones. In addition, the solution allows the monitoring of the educational process through the automatic collection of metrics in the cloud that allow the effectiveness to be quantified and provide feedback to the health professional to personalize the education.

AMIC Launcher

Patient application that serves as a central access point to the different resources of the AMIC Health digital ecosystem, in combination with the AMAT SaaS platform. Through AMIC Launcher, the child will be able to navigate the active courses and receive new tasks from the educator, launch the DiabeSim and DiabeJourney simulators, as well as access DiabeChat.

Gamified simulators

DiabeSim

This simulator allows you to simulate the administration of insulin in one meal. The evolution of glucose is transferred to cartoons, which illustrate the role of each organ in glucoregulation: the entry of glucose from food in the form of molecules, the production of the liver, the consumption of the muscle and the effect of insulin in it, and the consumption of the brain, a key organ that will present symptoms of hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia. This makes it easy to explain physiology to the child, teach them the effects of insulin and how to dose it correctly.

This game is accompanied by explanatory videos for each character, as well as multiple choice questions configurable by the educator. The results will be sent to the cloud for the calculation of efficiency metrics that can be reviewed by the educator through the AMAT SaaS.

DiabeJourney

This simulator allows the simulation of intake events, insulin dosing, exercise and rescue carbs over 24 hours. After posing the challenge and defining therapeutic actions by the child, our "brain", the main character of the game, embarks on a trip aboard his plane or rocket, which the child can choose, whose trajectory will be determined by the blood glucose resulting from the decisions made. At any time the child can determine glucose measurement points to make decisions "in real time."

Depending on the time in range, hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia, the final score will be achieved. Based on it, the child will be able to "virtually buy" new airplanes or rockets. The results will be sent to the cloud for the calculation of efficiency metrics that can be reviewed by the educator through the AMAT SaaS.

Robot with diabetes

Andy Robot

AMIC Health integrates experience in humanoid robotics and simulation of type 1 diabetes with Andy, a NAO robot that has type 1 diabetes. The objective is the use of robotics as a technology that generates empathy for children with type 1 diabetes , who learn with a robot that suffers from the same problems and faces the same daily decisions to manage their diabetes.

Andy is ideal for delivering group education sessions.  Andy can eat, exercise, take insulin, and reproduce the effects of the decisions made by children, explaining how his blood glucose is evolving in "real time." And in a way that is fully configurable by the educator to send exactly the desired message.

Plus, with the integration of the DiabeChat chatbot, kids can chat with Andy naturally about their diabetes and much more.

Chatbot

DiabeChat

With this chatbot engine it is possible to start a conversation with the most advanced AI. It can be integrated into different applications, and is linked to the ChatGPT API, with a prompt adapted to the needs of children's diabetes education. Talk about diabetes or any topic as if you were talking to a child with diabetes who knows very well how to manage it.
